North Chicago Police K9 Helps Track Fleeing Suspect

(North Chicago, IL)  Police in North Chicago say an assist from a police K9 helped them capture a fleeing suspect. Officials say Lake Bluff Police called for assistance after a vehicle crashed in the area of Sheridan and Buckley Roads. That vehicle was reportedly identified as part of an investigation into recent thefts in the area, and two other offenders were already in custody. North Chicago Police K9 Six tracked the remaining suspect for over a mile, and the 19-year-old was taken into custody without incident. That unidentified man was briefly treated for exposure to the cold…then charged with aggravated fleeing, burglary to a motor vehicle, criminal damage to property and more.
