People Will Like Your Presents More If You Do a Bad Job Wrapping Them

If you’re waste your time carefully wrapping each present with ribbons and bows you should think about maybe slapping some newspaper or whatever on there and then calling it a day.

A new study finds that if you do a bad job wrapping your presents people will actually like them more.

Expectations are low when something’s wrapped poorly.  When the present isn’t bad, they’re surprised and excited.

If you “fancy” it up there is a pretty good chance of leading the person to being disappointed but by phoning in your wrapping, the person is expecting trash.
