Illinois Gas Prices Rise, Remain Highest East of the Rockies

(Chicago, IL)  Illinois gas prices are back to the 11th highest in the nation, but remain the highest in the Midwest. AAA says the average gallon of gas in the state runs $3.38, which is 20-cents higher than the national average, and 4 cents higher than last week’s numbers. In Lake County, prices come in 12-cents higher than last week at $3.39. In Wisconsin, the average gallon of gas costs $3.01, 17-cents below the national average, but 4-cents higher than last week. Kenosha County sits at $3.06…similar to the previous week’s numbers.
