Governor Pritzker says the cases are being appealed, and has chalked them up to “political stunts.” Meanwhile, some lawmakers say it’s time to get back to Springfield to work on a glut of issues the state is facing, from the economy, to ethics, to regular state business.

As part of his stay at home order, the Governor asked state residents to not engage in non-essential travel. When asked about his wife’s travels, Pritzker refused to answer the question. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was called out earlier in the month when she had a private beautician come to give her a haircut…a profession that has been deemed non-essential.
